About Us
The Mission Intern Program encourages young, college-age adults to explore servant ministry for a summer. Mission Interns are paid to provide summer programming for children and youth in poor rural and urban areas. The Mission Intern Program connects, young-adults, churches, and the community in mission.
Interns
Changing the world one summer at a time.
Mission Interns serve for eight weeks as the hands and feet of Christ in poor, rural and urban communities. This is a paid internship. Interns provide children's programming and home repair while building relationships with those they serve. Interns are employees of the Michigan Area of the United Methodist Church.
Sites
Building relationships with their communities.
Mission Intern Sites are located at Michigan Area United Methodist Churches in rural and urban areas. Churches provide the programming and safe environment that allow this life-changing ministry to thrive.
Alumni
Spreading the love of Christ.
The Mission Intern Program has a proven track record of preparing individuals for servant ministry. Former Interns serve as United Methodist clergy and full-time missionaries, teachers, public health directors, executive directors for non-profit organizations, community outreach directors and so much more
