Dancing for Jesus

My calling for this summer at Metro United Methodist Church was not just to show our campers how to dance. It was much more than that. I realize now that God gave me this gift so that I could help to spread his message of love, and to shower that same love on twelve extraordinary young ladies. With each passing step, they get better, and better, and I see each, and everyone of them open up to me in more ways than one. Through dance, they are able to show their personalities, and heal from the pain life has thrown at them. I see one special little girl come out of her shell, and another conquer her fears of judgment, and insecurity, and through it all, they are learning more about the love of Christ. We decided to do a praise dance to the song Hosanna by Kirk Franklin, and the God's People Choir. Right now, we're preparing the finishing touches on their costumes, which I hope they love. We also have a big team behind us helping us all the way. Next Sunday, we'll finally perform, and a West African drumming performance. Please pray for our safe performance, and I can't wait to share with you the details.
